Now this is disappointing.  Sometimes when I advise clients about what to expect in scorched earth litigation, I voluntarily concede that although there is much I can do, I have not yet mastered Jedi mind tricks so I can’t issue an ironclad guarantee that opposing parties, opposing counsel, judges and juries will do as I command.  How unfortunate it is, then, that just when a company comes out with a new device to remedy my dilemma, George Lucas decides to spoil the celebration.  As reported by THR, Esq.:

LucasFilm has filed a $5 million trademark lawsuit against a company marketing a technology that allows users to control computer applications directly with their minds.  The defendant is Jedi Mind, Inc., which touts a wireless headset that detects brainwaves on both a conscious and non-conscious level and can even make it possible for users to play games or run software applications with thoughts alone.
