Courtney Love Sued By Austin Photographer

Mark Younger-Smith, an Austin-based photographer (and former guitarist for Billy Idol) filed suit against Courtney Love on March 19, 2010, alleging that Ms. Love has distributed and displayed various works—presumably photographs taken by Mr. Younger-Smith—without his permission, thereby infringing his copyright interests and rights of attribution.  Copies of the photographs were not attached to the complaint, but a search of the Copyright Office records indicates that the subject of the photographs is Ms. Love herself.  Case No. 1:10-cv-00186-JRN, Western District of Texas, Austin Division.
